Is there any backup of deleted messages on the Sony Ericsson P1i?

Unfortunately not, once a message has been deleted recovery is difficult without specialised equipment. You may have recently created a backup when you syncronised content between your Sony Ericsson P1i and your computer. Check that avenue out!
